Terms of Service

These terms apply to Timken bearing inquiries, written quotations and orders handled by Transmission Repairs Company.

Effective date:

01

Website Use

This website helps buyers learn about Timken bearing products and start an inquiry. Nothing on it creates an automatic sale.

  • Product information

Pages describe tapered, spherical and cylindrical roller bearings, thrust bearings, ball bearings and mounted units for general reference. You can view Timken bearing products before you inquire.

  • Starting an inquiry

Sending an inquiry asks for a quotation. It does not place an order or commit either party to a sale.

  • No offer from listings

Listings, images and descriptions are not an offer for sale. A transaction proceeds only through a written quotation and a confirmed order.

02

Inquiries and Written Quotations

The written quotation controls the commercial details of each supply. If website content or earlier messages differ from it, the written quotation prevails.

Quotation itemWhat applies
Part numbersThe cone, cup or assembly numbers stated
QuantityThe quantity stated for each line
Price and currencyThe price and currency shown
AvailabilityThe availability stated when quoted
Estimated lead timeAn estimate for the quoted items
Validity periodThe period in which the quotation can be accepted
Shipping or tax termsThose terms listed as applicable to the quotation

03

Specification Confirmation

The buyer is responsible for supplying accurate bearing and equipment information. Any identification gap must be resolved before the quotation is accepted.

  • Cone and cup: state each component number where applicable, rather than the cone number alone.
  • Series: state whether the requirement is inch or metric.
  • Assemblies: identify multi-row or matched sets by complete assembly number. They are not treated as interchangeable loose parts.
  • Equipment: provide the equipment model and the quantity of each item.
  • Incomplete numbers: send clear photos of the markings and state what still needs confirming.

04

Substitutes and Technical Changes

Substitute items are identified separately, and no technical change proceeds without the buyer's approval.

Substitutes

An alternative part is listed under its own identification in the quotation, so it cannot be mistaken for the requested part. The buyer decides whether it may be considered.

Technical changes

Any change to the confirmed specification or assembly requires buyer approval. Engineering suitability of an approved change remains the buyer's decision.

05

Orders, Payment and Shipping

Payment arrangements, shipping method and required documents are confirmed for each order. The buyer reviews the specification, quantity, delivery details and commercial terms before placing it.

  • Payment

Agreed and confirmed with the buyer for the specific order.

  • Shipping

Method and shipment arrangements are confirmed against the destination and required date.

  • Documents

Shipping documents for the order are confirmed at this stage. Raise any product document needs during quotation.

Receiving Inspection

The buyer checks each delivery on receipt for product labels, quantity and visible condition. Any difference is reported with the order number and photos.

  1. 1Check labels against the part numbers on the order.
  2. 2Count quantities for each order line.
  3. 3Inspect the appearance of the products and packaging.
  4. 4Report any difference by sending the order number and photos to our contact details for handling.
