Application Overview
Timken bearing supply for Heavy Equipment Repair
Heavy equipment repair covers bearing positions in final drives, axles, swing assemblies and drivetrain components that run under high radial and axial loads. Shock loading, contamination and mixed inch and metric service records make correct identification difficult. Repair managers most want the exact cone, cup and assembly references confirmed before a machine is taken apart.
- List the cone and cup numbers separately on tapered positions so a worn cup is not refitted with a new cone.
- Check the original series on each position, because inch and metric bearings of similar size are not interchangeable.
- Order double-row and matched bearings by the complete assembly number rather than as separate loose parts.
- Send clear photos of the markings when a used bearing's number is partly worn, and state which details remain unconfirmed.
